TYCRO

The TYCRO Pack (regional charter of TYR) maintains heavy equipment and material from various sources in Port Tressler, microTech (Stanton IV). Due to the dubious reputation of the mercenaries originating from Grim Hex, TYCRO is suspected of maintaining connections with elements of the notorious Dusters Gang as well as the allegedly vanished drug cartel Forgotten 15. In addition, TYCRO has been linked to incidents involving a Dusters splinter group known as the “Abendkrähen” (“Evening Crows”), who are notorious for their internal conflicts with both the Dusters and the Forgotten 15. Reports claim that in 2954 a TYCRO member was shot by an Abendkrähen gang member in the Derelict Settlement Dunboro. Rumors further suggest that TYCRO retaliated by dismantling one of the Abendkrähen’s hideouts.

TYCRO is headquartered in Port Tressler and is known for working with various agencies, private investigators, and detective services across the microTech region. While the pack remains under scrutiny by the microTech corporation, it also maintains high-level connections within the microTech Protection Services. Critics argue this points to corruption and covert organized crime, whereas others emphasize that TYR is simply one of countless small PMCs—many of which are regularly contracted by microTech itself to handle sensitive matters not carried out officially under the MPS name. With TYR’s focus on Private Long-Range Reconnaissance and its involvement in information brokering, TYCRO is considered a relevant point of contact for both security forces and outlaw elements. Moreover, TYCRO appears to function as a training base for TYR’s regular PMC forces in the microTech sector and conducts recruitment interviews there.

Many of TYCRO’s members have previously served in official military organizations and now employ their expertise to maintain and operate TYR’s mobile mother fleet, the Verdandi, stationed out of New Babbage. As part of the Minas Morgul Patrol, the pack was commissioned by Thane McMarshall to patrol various high-risk zones in the microTech system. TYCRO does not officially operate on behalf of the microTech Protection Services but justifies its fleet movements to authorities by presenting them as deployments of rescue forces for civilian support. During these patrols, TYCRO operates jointly with the UGzRR.
